The purpose of STEM Achievement is to prepare young students in our public schools (elementary, middle, and high schools), underserved and underprivileged children from low income families in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics for global leadership – and to ensure that our country remains a leader in technology and innovation.
“STEM workers earn significantly more on average than their counterparts in other jobs, regardless of their educational attainment, and are central to our nation’s economic vitality. STEM jobs are jobs of the future, essential for developing our technological innovation and global competitiveness.” -U.S. Dept. of Commerce
We believe that true learning takes place when a student has an opportunity to discover on their own through minds-on, hands-on curriculum. Enabling children to be involved in a learning process that stimulates, engages, and empowers them to a wide variety of skills and concepts, they will discover a path that will allow them to take their education and critical thinking to the next level.
We cannot sustain
“We cannot sustain an economy based on innovation unless we have citizens well educated in Math, Science, and Engineering. If we fail at this, we won’t be able to compete in the global economy” – Bill Gates
“A customized STEM focused supplemental education program made accessible to every student interested in STEM education regardless of their socio-economic background is the best solution for now, until the gap between our current educational system and our educational needs as a nation is organically closed, by the intentional recalibration and scaling of our educational system to meet the demands of the twenty first century.” – Eyo Effiong
